The known planes are the collection of alternate worlds, dimensions or realms that somehow interlink with one another on a greater, cosmological scale. Some planes are neighbouring, while others distant and alien. Each have their own laws, chaos, logic, geography, magical influence and more, building the structure of the plane upon these characteristics. Some are home to life, others to elements and essence.

Mages and researchers of Entrellia have agreed upon the theorised existences of planes over a time spanning generations, utlising The Astral Sea and Plane Pulling magic to test, confirm or deny their presence. Eventually, the recognition of 15 total planes and 8 lesser planes (extensions of Elemental Planes) came to be and has been solidified as the benchmark for planar composition ever since. However, this does mean there are potentially more planes yet to be discovered. Cosmologists still perform extensive research attempting to explore the Astral Sea for more planes, however, the process is expensive, extremely time consuming and requires impressive talent when navigating the sea through projection.
