ELLEMERE

Represents redemption, freedom, the good in all evil and second chances

Known also as "The Redeemer", Ellemere's fabled tale highlights the first enactment of what was thought to be an impossible feat of breaking free from The Watching Wolf's enslavement as a soul. Ellemere later joined Ome in his defence against the undead, despite being one herself.

Ellemere embodies the true meaning of it never being too late to change your ways. The path never too far travelled, the time never too short. There will always be room for redemption and to break free from what shackles you. There will always be good even in the darkest of souls.

Her valiance is revered in current day, though she has never been truly trusted by many of the core Moon Numen followers.

HISTORY

The Numen, before reaching any historical feats of greatness began first serving as a respawning soul of The Wolf. Ellemere was but a shadow among thousands. However, her role in The Endless War was a pivotal point in history and what was believed possible. For eons, no one had believed or thought a soul under The Wolf's control could ever be freed. Countless times, a soul defeated in battle by Ome or his White Spectres would simply die again, repeating the endless cycle and returning to the frontlines of The Everhalls. But under a unique circumstance, still to this day shrouded in mystery, Ellemere caused a blip in this theory. As a soul fighting for The Wolf, Ellemere somehow gained their sentience once more, remembering their former life. She benignly found herself free and with a will of her own. Through the offer of Ome, she betrayed the Wolf and joined his allegiance. She fought along side him and his White Spectres, eventually rising to the honour of Champion.

Ellemere earned Ascension soon after, gaining immortality and establishing her own domains, followers and ideals. She was a representation of relentless endurance against the dark. A living legend that you can never be too far gone and that The Wolf can be bested.

Ellemere, though now her own Numen, still fights with duty in the battlefields of the dead. She owed Ome for her freedom and elevation, for he had adopted her and welcomed her to the Moon Numen family and branch. It is spoken in tales that Ellemere and Yugen, unrelated by blood, also shared a romantic relationship, but this is viewed as somewhat unimportant in the overall history and pantheon of the Numen and is mostly ignored, rarely investigated further or deemed fantasy. Regardless, due to the official addoption and acceptance into the family, Ellemere is referred to as 'The Daughter', akin to Ome being the Moon Father, Mirus the Moon Mother and Yugen the Moon Son.
